Consequences of metal theft highlighted in new film by Crimestoppers

Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers has launched a film highlighting its determination to continue its work in tackling metal thieves in the East Midlands.

Nottinghamshire Police fully supports the short film, which features interviews with victims of and those affected by metal theft and highlights the cost, inconvenience and danger this crime poses to the community.

The aim of the film, which can be viewed on Crimestoppers’ YouTube channel (below), is to encourage the public to play their part and provide information to police about this crime, which costs the UK economy around £770 million per year.
