The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) presented today the logo of the European Cyber Security Month (ESCM) which is October 2012.
The logo unveiled the project’s visual identity and is expected to improve the visibility and recognition which will make the ECSM easier to promote. The logo comprises two inseparable components: the symbol and the logotype. The two parts together provide a strong image for the European cyber security month – the key – symbolising security.
In addition, the newly logo also introduced a human factor. The shape represents a person in profile – the user. As ENISA explained, the user is at the heart of the web, represented by the crisscrossing lines in the background.
Moreover, the colours recall the colours of the European Union flag and the logo will soon be available in the 23 official languages of the Union.
